AUG. 31 Selection of health insurance and other salary reduction benefits for current year.
SEPT. 1 Transcripts must be on file to qualify for Horizontal Movement to be effective current year.
SEPT. 1 Direct Deposit (Mode of Payment Selection Form)
SEPT. 1 License renewal must be submitted to be eligible for Sept. pay.
SEPT. 15 Correct placement of teacher on salary schedule. If business office is not notified of discrepancy, placement is considered correct.
SEPT. 20 Contribution to sick leave assistance pool to be eligible for participation during current school year.
JAN. 1 Application for early retirement to be eligible to receive the $1,000 stipend.
FEB. 1 Application for early retirement to be eligible to receive the $500 stipend.
MAR. 1 Notify business office of intent to qualify for horizontal movement the following year.
APRIL 1 Request for lump sum pay at completion of contractural duties. Once request is filed it is valid until cancelled by teacher. (See Article VI, Section K, #2 of Master Agreement)
APRIL 10 Notify business office of intent to take early retirement (No stipend)
MAY 1 Notification if reduction in staff is necessary the following year.
MAY 1 Notify payroll department if teacher wishes to donate to sick leave assistance pool instead of receiving compensation for accumulated paid leave days over 78.
MAY 15 Notify Board of Education of intent not to return to current position for next school year.
JUNE 15 Teacher notified of tentative assignment for next school year.
JULY 1 Earliest date teacher can retire on KPERS if under contract previous year.
