Introduction To Art Students will develop visual language using elements and principles of design in a variety of 2D media emphasizing drawing skills. Students will be introduced to digital imagery and manipulation using Photo Shop. ½

Level I Art Classes

Class Description Credits
Drawing I Students will refine drawing skills using a variety of media including pastel, color pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and print-making. ½
Painting I Students will develop painting skills using a variety of media including acrylic, watercolor, and pastels ½
Ceramics I Students will develop hand-building techniques and physical properties of clay. ½
Sculpture I Students will explore the concepts and techniques of 3D designs through experimentation with a variety of materials ½

Level II Art Classes

Drawing II Students will build on the skills and techniques learned in Drawing I. ½
Painting II Students will build on the skills and techniques learned in Painting I. ½
Ceramics II Students will build on the skills and techniques learned in Ceramics I, with the introduction of wheel throwing. ½
Sculpture II Students will build on the skills and techniques leaned in Sculputure I. ½

Advanced Art Classes

Class Description Credits
Advanced 2D Students will work to develop mastery level skills in 2D art.

Advanced 3D Students will work to develop mastery level skills in 3D art.

Digital Art Students will develop mastery level skills in creating and manipulating digital imagery. Students will learn to operate and manually set SLR digital cameras. Students will develop skills and techniques needed to perate Adoby Photo Shop on a PC.
