Students Against Destructive Decisions
SADD is a "no
use" peer leadership program which attempts to reduce the number
of alcohol-related fatalities, injuries and other dangerous consequences of
alcohol use by enhancing communication between parents and teens, by mobilizing
the construvtive peer pressure, by intervening, by facilitating alcohol and
drug education, and by fostering the acquisition of pressure resistance skills.
In recent years, SADD has expanded its purview to include other potentially
destructive decisions.

The purpose of the SADD program is to organize students around the world to
combat some of the major killers of their age group: underage drinking, drinking
and driving, and drug abuse, violence, suicide, and HIV/AIDS. SADD educates
students concerning the problem of underage drinking and drinking and driving,
and helps each student become aware of the alcohol and other drug problems as
they exist on the local and national levels.
