Hourly In-School Suspension (HISS) Ð Hourly In-School Suspension shall be used by teachers to remove students from class for disruptive or other behaviors that interfere with the learning environment.  Students placed in HISS will be required to make up all lost class time through after-school detention to be served with the teacher making the HISS placement.  Students will not be allowed to do homework during this time.  Instead, they will be required to write a reflective essay discussing why they were removed from class.
