OFFENSE: Tardiness to class

SPECIFICATION: Repeated instances of tardiness to class by students can become disruptive and detract from the learning process. Students who are repeatedly tardy to class will receive immediate and appropriate disciplinary action. Three tardies to class in one day will result in 2 hours detention. At ACMS, every 6 tardies will count as 1 unexcused absence.

  ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL – 9th Grade HIGH SCHOOL
1st instance Parent contact and detention Detention with teacher a minimum of 10 minutes and parent contact Documented warning Documented warning
2nd instance   Detention with teacher a minimum of 15 minutes and parent contact 30 minute lunch detention Detention with teacher a minimum of 15 minutes and parent contact
3rd instance   Detention with teacher a minimum of 20 minutes, parent contact and counselor referral 30 minute lunch detention Detention with teacher a minimum of 30 minutes and parent contact
