Middle school students raise $700 for American Red Cross

Faculty and students battled it out on the volleyball courts for a good cause on Friday, Sept. 23. The seventh and eighth grade volleyball A-team girls challenged a much more mature group of staff members. Students paid $1 to attend the event. The match raised $709.84 for the American Red Cross to benefit Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Arkansas City Middle School Counselor Sarah O’Donnell said many faculty members and students volunteered time and services to make the event a tremendous success.
